New Beginnings is a community based residential service that provides residential care for young people, in County Kildare. The principal goal of the service is to provide a high quality placement for children and young people placed by the Child and Family Agency and for whom residential care is viewed as being in their best interest. New Beginnings aims to provide the essential life skills to the children and young people living in their care in order to prepare them to live in the least restrictive environment possible. This is done through providing a consistent, structured, therapeutic environment through a relationship approach by the staff team, while providing opportunities to empower the children and young people in making decisions affecting their life.  We work in partnership with the Child and Family Agency.

Riverside, a unit that is operated by New Beginnings Child Care and Residential Services Ltd., is a private provider of residential care services to young people that have placed by the Child and Family Agency. The children and young people placed in our service are recognised as having individual rights and these will be promoted and safeguarded during the course of their placement. We are committed to achieving the highest standards in professional practice, which include a comprehensive approach to placement planning and securing appropriate interventions for these children and young people.  The children and young people living in our care will be provided with a comfortable and well-maintained environment. We recognise that successful placement outcomes are best achieved through partnership with family, (where appropriate) and other professionals involved in a child’s or young person’s life.
